Some controlled environments don't permit electrically-driven lift equipment at all. Solvent handling, fine-powder processing, peroxide-vapour decontamination cycles, and ATEX-classified zones restrict spark-generating equipment near the operator. A standard scissor lift or electric work platform is the wrong tool — and often a flat compliance failure. The JL-ML 22 solves it the way these suites require: the lift runs on shop air, not electricity. Air/pneumatic actuation is inherently spark-free, which is what makes the unit appropriate for ATEX-friendly cleanroom and GMP areas where a battery or motor isn't allowed near the work.
The structure is Grade 304 stainless steel — the standard substrate for GMP-suite equipment that gets wiped down, sprayed and sanitised on a schedule. The unit is sealed to IP66, so washdown is part of the routine, not a risk to the mechanism. The platform raises the operator to a 2.2 m working height for stocking, fixture access, maintenance and overhead work inside the suite, and the whole machine is built to GMP Annex 1 expectations for equipment operating in a controlled space.
Each unit ships with its operator and maintenance documentation, a GMP conformity statement, and the factory data sheet confirming the as-built dimensions and pneumatic ratings — packed in the crate. Specify your air supply, doorway and suite-height constraints at order and we'll confirm the geometry before build.
One configuration. Specs from the factory data sheet shipped with each unit.

We publish only the specs we'll stand behind. Full dimensional and pneumatic data — exact platform footprint, rated working load, air pressure/flow requirements, lowered/raised heights and lift speed — is confirmed on the factory data sheet that ships with the unit and is tuned to your suite. Specify your air supply, doorway and ceiling constraints at order and we'll confirm the geometry before build. No claims beyond material, actuation, platform height, IP rating and GMP suitability are made on this page.
A cleanroom manlift earns its keep when the actuation, the substrate and the seal all suit a restricted suite — not just the colour of the platform.
Air/pneumatic actuation generates no spark — the reason this unit is appropriate for ATEX-friendly suites and areas where solvents, fine powders or peroxide vapour rule out electrically-driven lift equipment near the operator.
No battery to charge, no motor to maintain near the work, no electrical infrastructure to route into a restricted suite. The lift runs on the compressed air the facility already has — simpler to qualify and simpler to keep running.
304 stainless is the standard substrate for equipment that lives inside a GMP suite and gets wiped, sprayed and sanitised on a schedule. It doesn't shed, corrode or compromise the suite's cleaning regime.
Sealed to IP66, the unit takes the directed washdown and sanitation cycles a controlled space runs without ingress to the mechanism. Cleaning is part of the routine, not a risk to the machine.
The platform raises the operator to a 2.2 m working height for stocking, fixture access, overhead work and maintenance inside the suite — at height, on a stable stainless platform, without leaving the controlled environment.
The unit is built to GMP Annex 1 expectations for equipment operating in a controlled space, with the conformity statement and documentation in the crate — so it slots into your qualification process instead of fighting it.
Every JL-ML 22 ships with the documentation a GMP-suite quality, engineering or maintenance team asks for — packed in the crate with the unit.
304 stainless and a spark-free pneumatic drive cost what they cost at the factory. The brand's margin and the distributor's quote wall add the rest. We cut both and publish the number.

Prices in CAD · 304 stainless · spark-free air actuation · 2.2 m platform · IP66 · GMP Annex 1 · documentation included · FOB Toronto. Competitor list = published or researched North American brand-catalog price for the equivalent cleanroom specification at time of writing.
Same 304 stainless, same pneumatic drive, same GMP Annex 1 build. We publish the price the rest of the cleanroom industry hides behind a quote — because the only thing that quote wall ever protected was the markup. The court jester says it plainly: the truth is cheaper than the secret.
